I completely agree! I got into my own business back in November 2002, when the economy was struggling, and have kept at it ever since. Is there ever a perfect time to go into business for oneself? I agree that recessions do inspire more entrepreneurs. I recently wrote an article for TargetStars Newsletter demonstrating the benefits of increasing marketing during a recession(http://www.targetstars.com/TSNewsletterlandingpage.html). Those companies that have increased their marketing have experienced an increase in customers.
