Heather

My name is Heather and here is a little bit about me. I was an accountant and a financial analyst in corporate America for 12 years. I have my undergrad in Accounting and my MBA, with an Emphasis in Entrepreneurship. I’ve been on the leading edge of mergers and acquisitions at 2 different companies, one was a tech consulting company and the other was aerospace. I have also acted as liaison between finance and IT at two different companies, a role I was quite happy with. After becoming a Senior Financial Analyst for a communications company, I was very happy to learn I was pregnant. I made the hard decision to stay home with my new son and step daughter. While doing so, I decided to start up a blog, Mommies Home.net, basically just to keep me from going crazy. What started out to be a hobby went on to be more or less a part time job. I’ve found ways to earn money and have had wonderful success in the arena. Just recently I started up www.momscashsite.com, a site dedicated to helping others to make some cash at home so they might have the same opportunities I have. More than that, I’m proud of what I do! Being a SAHM, a blogger and a professional isn't the easiest work!

New Money Management for 2009

With the new year here, it’s time to review our year and figure out what to do better for 2009. For me, I always review my year within my current money management software, namely Microsoft Money. But this year, as I ended up upgrading to Vista, I thought it would be a good chance for me to review my current money software to see if it was truly what I needed for the new year.
